Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida to host Breaking Par Gala & Golf Tournament

Two-day fundraising event to be held April 22-23

Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida will host the fifth annual Breaking Par Gala & Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 22 through Sunday, April 23 at The Club at Grandezza, located at 11481 Grande Oak Blvd. in Estero. The two-day event includes a gala dinner at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, featuring live and silent auctions, followed Sunday morning with a Shotgun Scramble Golf Tournament at 8:30 a.m., and concludes with a luncheon and awards ceremony. Like many area communities, Grandezza is home to numerous residents who have been ardent supporters giving their time and resources for the good of Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida. Breaking Par serves as the primary funding source for Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida’s flagship program, CEO Academy – a “model” week-long business school summer camp held for rising high school juniors and seniors in partnership with Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). Proceeds from previous Breaking Par events have provided funding totaling more than $200,000 in support of the Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida CEO Academy and additional programming. The CEO Academy offers intense interaction with local leaders, high-energy team building activities and teaching the value of free enterprise, business and economics in order to prepare students for success in the global economy.
Sponsorship opportunities are currently available at all levels, with opportunities ranging from Hole Sponsorship at $300 to the Title Sponsorship at $15,000. Event sponsors include BMO Harris Bank as the Tournament Luncheon & Awards Ceremony sponsor, IBERIABANK as the CEO Academy Program sponsor, Jaguar Fort Myers as the Gala Vehicle sponsor, Juniper Landscaping is the FGCU Professional Golf Management Cart & Awards Ceremony sponsor, and Tijuana Flats Burrito Company, Tide Dry Cleaners and First Florida Integrity Bank as the CEO Academy Benefactor sponsors. Clay Miller of NBC2 will serve as the master of ceremonies for the gala on Saturday evening, and the many items up for bid during the live auction will be presented by auctioneer Scott Robertson.
